Don Egolf Chinese Redbud. 10', zone 6, Branches are completely covered with lavender pink flowers in early spring, heart-shaped neat glossy foliage. Named after one of the world greatest plantsman, Don Egolf, may he rest in peace.

Winter Flame Bloodtwig Dogwood. 8', zone 5, N, Yellow fall color is followed by amazing winter twig color, yellow at base of plant flushing to orange-red at outer edges. Looks like it is lite by fire all winter. Cut back old wood every year for best effect.

Bailey Redosier Dogwood. 6', zone 2, N, White flowers followed by bluish fruit, excellent red fall foliage defoliates to reddish-purple twigs for winter interest, a Bailey Nurseries introduction.

Cardinal Redosier Dogwood. 8', zone 3, N, Light green disease resistant foliage in summer followed by vivid, cherry-red stems in winter. Developed by Dr. Pellet and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, so you know it's tough. Cut old wood back yearly.

Common Chinafir. 30', zone 6, Beautiful and unusual conifer with pendulus branches covered in large, powder-blue needles. Foliage has plum colored cast in winter. Habit is almost tropical coloreed in appearance.
