Soft Touch Japanese Holly. 2' (3' spread), zone 6, Shiny dark green tiny leaves on a dense beautiful shrub that needs little pruning. Branches are more flexable than 1. c. 'Helleri', so it doesn't break easily(a better landscape choice), evergreen.

Ilex x meservae Blue Maid ('Mesid')

Blue Maid Meserve Holly. 10', zone 4, One of the hardiest Meserve hollies, with bright red fruit in fall and winter, and shiny dark blue-green evergreen foliage. Hybridized by Kathleen Meserve, Blue Boy is preferred pollinator.
